My practice evolved from my life journey. As someone identified as an intersectional identity person, my work is my continued interest and research in label and identity issues. My artistic process often begins with meditation, making grids, and repetitions of entire body movement that involves not just thinking but a physical process. My practice included painting, drawing, sculptures, and installation. From the early grid works painting to the later mixed media installation, my work often led to the symphony of representation of my journey as a foreigner living and trying to fit in this foreign land of America. Conceptually, I always envision making work represent my culture and identity by telling the stories of current and past journeys.
